A little bit of background.
FFU Scotland CIC are a non profit social enterprise organisation based in North Ayrshire, Scotland. Offering support, education and advocacy via social media and in communities to people with fibromyalgia (fibro) and their care support in Scotland.
FFU Scotland as a community interest company were registered at company house in April 2017 and within the last 2 years have expanded from mainly Ayrshire community based supports to travelling into communities across Falkirk, Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Fife and many more.
2018 saw the first ever FFU Scotland CIC fibro awareness week which culminated at the Kelpies in Falkirk with the amazing landmark lighting up purple in support. This year we had 17 fabulous landmarks join the light up campaign from scone palace, Titan Crane, Discovery ship and so many more as well as a full week speaking with professionals , care support and over 100 living with the syndrome linking them in for support and services. 2020 is already in planning so watch out for a month of activities across May, it will be fabulous.
We currently run support meetings, information and support drop ins , a wide range of social media support and an advocacy service with many other services in development and some exciting plans for the next 6-12 months that will not only raise the profile of fibromylagia in Scotland but provide biopscyhosocial pathways from diagnosis to ongoing treatment.

OUR OUTREACH SUPPORT MEETINGS
For leaflets , business cards or for our support meeting bookmarks to remind you when and where, contact our office on 01294 537566 or the above email and they can be sent out. Also request to be added to our new newsletter GDPR list and keep up to date with whats happening every quarter within FFU Scotland. Professionals can also request information for their organisations.
FFU Scotland CIC East Ayrshire outreach support meeting - Crosshouse Hospital every 1st Tuesday of the month. All welcome including care support. Meetings are varied with in house inputs, speakers, activities and self management discussions.
FFU Scotland CIC - North Ayrshire outreach support meeting- Fullarton Connextions Irvine. Every 3rd Thursday of the month. All welcome including care support. Meetings are varied with in house inputs, speakers, activities and self management discussions.
FFU Scotland CIC - NEW Edinburgh outreach support meeting- Tollcross Community Centre- Edinburgh . Approx every 6 weeks. All welcome including care support. Meetings are varied with in house inputs, speakers, activities and self management discussions.
FFU SCOTLAND INFO & SUPPORT DROP INS
We have 3 current drop ins running, Ardeer Community Centre Stevenston ( Wednesdays approx 6 weekly), South Ayrshire Life, Ayr (Friday’s approx 6 weekly) and new in June, The Women’s Centre, Glasgow ( Thursdays approx 6 weekly). Come along and ask questions about fibromyalgia and living with it whether at diagnosis stage or further in your journey. Also find out about our supports and services. We welcome professionals to drop in too as its imperative that all sectors working with people around health and well being understand the syndrome as well as how best to support.
Drop in and speak to one of our volunteers anytime during the 2 hour period and have a cuppa, in a confidential and supported environment.

NEW IN JUNE 2019 GLASGOW AREA
Women only due to the centre ethos however watch out for another pop up drop in in the Glasgow area for inclusive support.
