With half-term just around the corner, our youth volunteers have been busy preparing!

Over the past few weeks, they have been taking part in training on safeguarding, health and safety, and supporting younger children.

We are looking forward to having them involved in planning and running our half-term activities and putting everything they have learnt into practice.

Well done to all our young volunteers for their commitment so far🥳

This October, P.H.O.E.B.E. is proud to celebrate Black History Month 2026 🖤

This year’s theme, “Honouring Our Communities,” gives us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the people, stories, cultures and contributions that continue to shape and strengthen our communities.

At P.H.O.E.B.E., community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in creating spaces where women, young people and families feel supported, empowered and connected.

Throughout Black History Month, we are proud to celebrate black voices, cultures, experiences and achievements - while recognising the strength, resilience and legacy of the communities we work alongside every day.

Happy Black History Month from everyone at P.H.O.E.B.E.

Today, we had the pleasure of attending the BSC Multicultural Services Community Engagement Event 🤝🏽🌍

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local organisations, community members and fellow professionals, share experiences, and learn more about the services and support available within our communities.

At PHOEBE, we believe that collaboration and community are key to creating meaningful change. 💜
Thank you to BSC Multicultural Services for bringing everyone together and creating a space for connection, learning and partnership! 🙏🏽

OUR YOUNG WOMEN LEADING 2026 🌟

Our young women have been taking part on the social action project this year. Our project ‘Embrace - be fearless’ focuses on Issues surrounding natural hair, as many young black women fear having their natural hair out and not embracing it because of it being different. We are committed and ready to create a meaningful and impactful project for our community 🤗 To be part of the project send us a DM!

There is something special about taking the time to explore the beauty that surrounds us. 🌿

Our Ambling African Women walking group enjoyed a beautiful walk through Flatford, taking in the peaceful scenery, fresh air and natural surroundings.

Exploring nature not only gives us the opportunity to discover new places, but also reminds us of the importance of caring for and protecting the environment around us. When we take the time to appreciate our surroundings, we become more connected to the places and communities we call home.

Today, our Ambling African Women walking group enjoyed a lovely walk in Flatford. The views were beautiful, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us and made the walk so enjoyable.

A big thank you to the Heritage Fund and Flatford National Trust for your support and for helping us enjoy such a wonderful day surrounded by nature.
We look forward to more walks and lovely moments together! 💚
