We are looking at putting on some community events over the summer. Can you help out or get involved?

We are looking for community groups, families or individuals, to help run different free activities for the community, anything like crafts, music, singing, cultural traditions, games, sports activities or just to help out on the day ⚽️🎨🎢

Many thanks to the wonderful Outdoor Volunteers from S2R Create Space πŸ™Œ

In this months session we focus on the Jack Hill side of the park, we planted some fruit trees, cleaned up the footpaths, started to remove the debris in the MUGA and removed 6 orange barriers that were dumped in the park πŸ’š

Did you know there are over 250 different species of bees in the UK???

This is an Ashy Mining Bee spotted on the rec side of the park, this is a solitary bee that emerges from the ground in spring πŸ™Œ

This Sunday join Friends of Friends Of Grimescar for their Nature Day event!!

Great to see a class from a local school on a field trip in the area today. They were doing their own Grimescar Nature Day - testing the water, spotting the various trees and birds. As they walked around they picked up litter - top of the litter item list was poo bags!
