It was off to RAF Syerston this week for ten cadets and two CFAV to enjoy taking to the skies on a beautiful day!

Each Cadet made the most of the day, taking the opportunity to help out, learn about winch operating, scholarship opportunities as well as how to fly.

There will soon be FIVE more Blue Wing Badges heading to 1803 Cadets!

Many thanks to all the CGS instructors and the support staff for giving us such a fabulous time, hopefully we’ll be back again soon. 😊

🛩️Venture Adventure!🛩️

It was time for 1803 Cadets to take to the skies this week in a visit to 7 AEF at RAF Cranwell.
A beautiful, perfect day for flying with lots of aerobatics!
Six more Blue Wings will soon need sewing onto jumpers!

“All very well-behaved and keen!’ was the feedback from the 7AEF staff.
Thank you to all the pilots, ground crew and support staff who make these visits exciting, interesting and safe for our Cadets. The extra efforts to ensure all got airborne on the day were very much appreciated!

The smiles in the photos tell the rest of the story…

🎉More Promotion News!🎉
This week saw three Corporals and four Sergeants promoted by the Officer Commanding after their knowledge and experiences were put to the test by the Sqn interviewing promotion board.

We know that their leadership and teamwork skills will be put to good use on Sqn and they will be fantastic role models!

Last night we welcomed Major Lara Small the Award Winning Engineer, Army Officer Reservist, a Motorbike Racer and TV Presenter to 1803 Hucknall Squadron - RAF Air Cadets

We didn’t just talk about how jet engines work, we experienced how they work! We heard not just about her amazing career but her love of motorbikes, fast jets and following those dreams!

This was a fabulous opportunity for 1803 Sqn Cadets and Staff to not just learn more about engineering, jet engines and motorbikes but to leave Sqn last night inspired to work hard, stay determined and drive towards those goals!

Thank you so much to Major Lara Small for taking the time to come in, answer our questions and share your experiences with us.

Congratulations to two of our cadets on achieving their Bronze Wings at RAF Syerston with 643 Aerospace Ground School - AGS last weekend.

Last weekend we ran another Bronze Wings Course for Cadets in Trent Wing Air Cadets. With a lot of hard work and practice all 6 cadets were successful in being awarded their Bronze Wings.

We are proud to see the journey the Cadets take when running these courses as there is a variety of experience when the cadets arrive at RAF Syerston, and they leave having gained valuable knowledge to take back to their squadrons and advance in their aviation careers.

Congratulations to all who attended the course - really well deserved!
