📣 Shout out to our amazing youth service!

Our youth service have pulled together some amazing stats as part of their annual report for 2025/2026. Some highlights include:

⭐ 14,231 young people engaged in youth service activities.
⭐ 18,537 hours of youth provision delivered across Nottinghamshire.
⭐ 86,420 free meals provided to young people through our youth work sessions.
⭐ 290 partner agencies worked alongside us to support young people.
⭐ 7,870 project based youth work interventions delivered.
⭐ Thousands of young people supported through key transitions, wellbeing, youth voice and targeted interventions.

Young people are at the heart of our youth service. Listening to them and providing them with safe spaces, trusted youth workers, and valuable support has a huge impact.

☀️Amber Weather Warning - Extreme Heat ☀️

We would like to remind our residents to take extra precautions to keep themselves safe in the heat.

An amber weather warning is now in place, with temperatures expected to hit over 30C over the next few days.

With that in mind, here’s a reminder of the five-point safety code to help you stay as cool as possible:

1) Keep clothing on to protect skin from sun damage
2) Apply sun cream with a high protection factor to exposed areas of skin
3) Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration
4) Stay in the shade wherever possible
5) Wear a hat with a brim or flap that covers the ears and the back of the neck
