Horsham Joggers Horsham Joggers is a friendly, inclusive, and supportive running club for runners of all abilities and interests. Come and join us.

Whether you just want a gentle 5k run with friends or competitive running including 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra Marathon distances, Horsham Joggers has something for you. Our regular club nights, meeting at The Bridge Leisure Centre, Broadbridge Heath, are Tuesdays at 7pm for groups runs. On Thursdays, the meeting is at 6.30pm at The Bridge for Coached Track sessions but the meeting place varies for the HIIT and Road Sessions. Our group runs vary in ability and distance from 5k at a gentle 13 min per mile pace up to 8 miles at 7 min per mile pace and include road and trail routes. There will always be someone to run with. We can also offer group runs weekly on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings, and a Hiit Class on Thursday which are typically run every other week. Founded in 1984 Horsham Joggers is proud to be one of the area’s leading running clubs. Whatever your running goals we would love to hear from you.

The Autumn 2026 edition of the Horsham Joggers Newsletter is packed with another busy quarter of running, racing and club news. From outstanding performances at the Alf Shrubb Races, Barns Green, Berlin and the Sussex Relays, to Gary Tomlinson’s incredible 76.5km run around Jersey and Tanya Boardman and Gareth Sear’s unforgettable ultra in Finnish Lapland, there’s plenty to celebrate.

We also recognise our latest Unsung Hero, Dawn Whamond, catch up with England Athletics athlete Simon Perkins in ‘Five Minutes With…’, and look ahead to the final WSFRL races as HJ continue their bid to reclaim the league title. Plus, there’s news on committee vacancies, the new membership system, Parkrun away days, the Gunpowder Trot and much more.

We had a fantastic time at the Arunners Beach Run in Littlehampton on Wednesday evening. More than 60 Joggers took part and we scored maximum points in the race. And followed that with fish and chips sitting by the River Arun. Well done everyone! A great evening!

Another Horsham Joggers parkrun tourism away day. A good bunch headed off to Shoreham last weekend, many for the first time at that event. There was some very speedy running with a fair few fastest times this year. We had a great catch up coffee at the pub after. There is always a few that miss the photo 😁

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ The Alf Shrubb Memorial Race Day isn't just for adults!

We're delighted that the event now includes a Children's 1 Mile Race (ages 8–11), which also features the Schools Challenge Cup, kindly sponsored by Farlington School.

Yesterday, we had the honour of presenting last year's Schools Challenge Cup trophy to Southwater Junior Academy. Congratulations to all involved! 🏆

All junior schools are welcome to enter the Challenge Cup, and individual entries are also welcome.

⭐ Children's 1 Mile Race Highlights:
• Part of the Alf Shrubb Memorial 10K & 5K race day
• Multi-terrain 1-mile course
• Represent your school in a team competition
• The first 6 finishers from each school count towards the team results
• Fastest school wins the Schools Challenge Cup
