Personnel Recovery Centres - The Legion working with the MOD and Help for Heroes in funding Personnel Recovery Centres in the UK and Germany, where injured Service personnel can get the help and care they need to get back to t
heir best. The Battle Back Centre - The Battle Back Centre will officially open in autumn 2012 and will be a national centre of excellence for adaptive sport and adventurous training to help Service personnel recover and either return to duty or reskill and make a successful transition to civilian life. The Royal British Legion Centre for Blast Injury Studies - This centre is the first collaboration of its kind in the UK, where civilian engineers and scientists work alongside military doctors to reduce the effects of roadside bombs or Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Each is a safe, well-equipped environment, which is intended to be a real home, somewhere that our residents can feel comfortable, for however long they stay.
