We now have 3 generations in the lodge!

On what was set to be a memorable day not only for our candidate Oliver Hirst, but for his father, grandfather and the lodge as a whole.

With good numbers in the lodge room, Worshipful Master Owen Jenkins allowed W.Bro Mike Carter to take the chair and conduct the Initiation Ceremony.

Oliver’s Father, Bro Russell Hirst was keen to do some work for Oliver and presented the address to the apron. All those who performed ritual on the floor, did so to a very high standard.

W Bro Steve Henman ProvGStwd, Secretary of the Rough Ashlars delivered the Charge after Initiation in an exemplary manner.

Senior Warden Bro Ryan Dolby presented newly Initiated Bro Oliver, aged 20, with a masonic case containing the various items needed by a ‘Rough Ashlar’. This included the new Lincolnshire Rough Ashlars welcome pack.

The afternoon concluded with a fantastic festive board at which Bro Hirst was presented with various items pertaining to a Scouting Lodge.

Worshipful Master Owen Jenkins and his Wardens Ryan Dolby and Mark Smith attended Lincolnshire Freemasons Provincial Grand Lodge today to represent Rudyard Kipling Lodge No.9681. Other members of the lodge were also present but trying to gather people in the crowds is never easy.

Congratulations to all those Brethren and Companions who received first appointments and promotions today.

Worshipful Master Owen Jenkins presesnted a cheque for £300 to the Lincs Scouts First Aid Team. The money will help the team replace vital first aid equipment. Hopefully it isn't required to be used in anger, but should one of the young people or adult volunteers need it, it will be there ready to go! ⚜️🟣

Last night our Senior Warden, Bro Ryan Dolby, was installed into the 1st Principals Chair at Astral Chapter in Grimsby. He was pleased to be supported by members of Rudyard Kipling Lodge. Pictured here with our Royal Arch Rep Michael Carter and our Junior Warden Mark Smith, the smile says it all.

As our Royal Arch Rep, Michael helped introduce Ryan to Astral Chapter and was also present at his exhaltation ceremony just over 9 years ago.

It was a pleasure for members of Rudyard Kipling to support Bro Howard Nelson as he completed his journey in pure and antient freemasonry. Howard was exhalted into the Royal Arch at Banovallum Chapter in Horncastle Masonic Centre in a fantastic ceremony. Congratulation Companion Nelson, we hope you have many happy years in The Royal Arch.

An afternoon of celebrations at Rudyard Kipling Lodge No.9681.

We had a fantastic ceremony for Bro Robert Bullock, who was passed to the 2nd degree. This brings Rob to his mid point in his craft masonic journey. Deacons, Bro John Gascoign and Bro Howard Nelson led him through the ceremony excellently.

There was then a suprise presentation for one of our members, Bro Richard Harvey. He received his 15 years service award in Scouting. This was presented by Bro Nelson who is the County Lead Volunteer for Lincolnshire. We are very proud of our ties to Scouting and this was so nice to see in lodge.

A great afternoon of celebrations, with a real buzz in the lodge and at the festive board. ⚜️🟣🤝

Worshipful Master Owen Jenkins was very pleased to pass on a cheque for £500 to 6th Skegness Sea Scouts.

Owen commented saying, "The donation comes as an part of a larger allocation distributed to individual Lodges by the Lincolnshire Masonic Benevolent Fund. We decided to use our allocation to provide 6th Skegness Sea Scouts with some extra funds this year. We hope it can make a real difference to the experiences of the many youth members for whom they provided scouting."
