HINDLEY JUNIORS U21s 6-5 ASHTON ON MERSEY

Hindley Juniors U21s got back to winning ways on Saturday with a dramatic victory away at Ashton on Mersey!

Having gone a goal behind early on, the lads responded well. Pressure led to a shot from Braedon which was well saved by the Ashton keeper, but the rebound fell kindly to Bren, who made no mistake to draw us level.

We then took the lead following a great long ball from Kris. Bren picked it up, held off the defender and got his shot away to make it 2-1.

Ashton weren’t giving up and managed to bring the game back to 2-2.

Just before half-time, Bren completed his hat-trick! Tyler released Kian down the right, who delivered a great ball across for Bren to side-foot home and restore our lead at 3-2.

The second half saw us take control of the game. Kian pressured the Ashton centre-half into an error, allowing Kris to bundle the ball home to make it 4-2.

Josh then picked out Kian on the edge of the box. Kian composed himself, sorted his feet out and fired a low shot into the bottom left corner for 5-2.

Unfortunately, with only one substitute available, tired legs began to show. In a crazy 15-minute spell, Ashton managed to score three times to bring the game level at 5-5.

We were understandably disappointed to see our lead disappear, but the lads weren’t finished!

Cam pounced on an error between the Ashton keeper and defender before delivering a cross for Kayden M. to fire home the winner bang on the full-time whistle!

FULL TIME: ASHTON ON MERSEY 5-6 HINDLEY JUNIORS U21s! 🔥

A brilliant team effort, plenty of goals and three massive points. What a way to get back to winning ways!

🔵⚽️ U10 EAGLES ⚽️🔵

The Eagles 🦅 were back on the pitch playing football this Sunday after a team bonding session the previous weekend.

Today, we prepared for a Derby Game against an in form HJ Dodgers, this fixture has always produced great games and today was no different for The Eagles.

Straight from KO, to the final whistle we were relentless, we passed and moved the ball with ease, working on quick 1-2s whilst holding our position and passing within triangle - something we have been working on in training.

First half we were good, second half we were even better as we went through the gears and created chance after chance followed by goal after goal. We passed and moved brilliantly, using our pace on the wings and was a constant threat to their defence.

The Dodgers made us work hard defensively and had some great chances as they pushed forward with their attacks, however our defence was solid and our GK was always there when needed and pulled off some fantastic saves.

A great game between two competitive sides.

Performance of the season today from The Eagles every player gave their all on the pitch 👊🏻👊🏻🦅

Game 9

Lovely morning for a game of football and the boys were well up for it today! Must of been all the Halloween sweets as they were buzzing to get going.

Today, we played a good Billinge team but we were no push overs and battled well, resulting in probably one of our best team performances this season. The boys were terrific today and did every thing that was asked. Passing as a team was on point today, making it really hard to deal with. We also practiced shooting at training and it really came off today - amazing game! 👏🏻
