⚽️💙 WOW! What a day! 💙⚽️

Hindley Juniors’ Gala Day 2026 was simply incredible!

Today, 18 of our teams from our minis right through to our U13 Girls came together at Harrison Playing Fields, with more than 220 children taking part in a fantastic celebration of football, teamwork, friendship and everything that makes Hindley Juniors FC so special 🥰

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make today such a success 👏🏻 Our amazing volunteers, dedicated coaches, supportive families, committee members and everyone working behind the scenes. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without you.

We were also delighted to welcome Molly Saunt Football Freestyler ⚽️, who wowed our players with some incredible tricks, skills and demonstrations. The smiles on the children’s faces said it all 😁

What a fantastic way to bring the curtain down on another brilliant season. As we reflect on 2025/26, we want to thank every coach, parent, guardian, player and supporter who has contributed to creating such a positive environment for our children to learn, develop and enjoy the game.

On behalf of the HJFC Committee, thank you for being part of the journey. Just a few more presentations to go then we hope everyone enjoys a well-earned off-season. We can’t wait to see you all back in blue and white as we get ready for an exciting 2026/27 season!

Leisure United William Foster

Hindley Juniors are looking for new players aged 16–20 to join our current squad and help form our U21 team for the 2026/27 season. Also places for for up to three Open Age players within the squad.

This team will be the senior male side at the club, playing a key role in relaunching our open-age pathway in the coming years.

We already have a strong group of players and are now looking to add experience and quality to build something competitive and exciting.

What we offer:
• Year-round access to top-class 4G training facilities.
• A high-quality home grass pitch.
— Games video recorded for analysis and highlight reels.
• Fully equipped clubhouse and changing rooms.
• A head coach with 10+ years of coaching experience.
• Support from two assistant coaches, including a dedicated goalkeeper coach.

⚽🏆 This weekend saw us hosting our Annual Tom Harrison Invitational Tournament at the club.

With 44 teams, over 400 kids, 4 age groups and 11 trophies up for grabs, it was another fantastic celebration of grassroots football.

The tournament is aimed at lower-level teams, giving those children a chance to shine, with Tom’s motto, “Let Them Play”, always at the forefront of everything we do.

Across the weekend, we saw some fantastic football, but most importantly, we saw plenty of smiles, laughter, sportsmanship, great teamwork and players helping players. This is what grassroots football is all about 💙

A huge thank you to all the teams who entered. Some travelled from local areas, while others came from as far away as Southport and Manchester. Every team played with passion, commitment and great spirit throughout the weekend.

The Hindley Juniors family once again pulled together to make the event such a success. From managing the car park, running the café and bar, to setting up and taking down pitches, our volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Thank you also to Bounce A Lot Northwest and A.D.S Marquees 🎪

We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing people at our club, all proud to be part of the HJ family 🔵⚪️ It was a great weekend to be involved in and a wonderful reminder of what makes our club and grassroots football so special.

👏⚽ Well done to Hindley Juniors U13 Boca on an outstanding performance at the Fulledge Colts Tournament in Burnley yesterday!

The boys worked incredibly hard throughout the day, finishing top of their group before progressing all the way to the Champions League Final💪🏆

In a testament to their teamwork, determination and defensive strength, they conceded just one goal all afternoon and unfortunately, it came in the final against Burnley United.

Every player should be proud of their efforts against some strong opposition. Reaching the final and performing to such a high standard is a fantastic achievement and reflects all the hard work that the squad and coaches have put in throughout the season.

Well done, boys – a brilliant day and a performance to be proud of! 🔵⚪👏

This morning, we were delighted to host a Future Fit 3v3 football event in conjunction with Lancashire Football Association and the Wigan Youth & District Football League.

It was fantastic to see coaches learning and so many young players enjoying plenty of football, developing their skills, and most importantly, having fun! ⚽😃💙

⚽️➡️💦 Today our attention is turning from football to water safety after too many young people have lost their lives over the past few days 💔

☀️ With the hot weather, we know it can be tempting for children and teenagers to cool off in rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs — but open water can be extremely dangerous.

Hidden dangers such as cold water shock, strong currents, deep mud, underwater objects and sudden drops can quickly turn tragic, even for strong swimmers.

Please take the time to speak to your children about the risks of swimming or jumping into open water. Encourage them to stay safe, look after their friends, and only swim in supervised areas designed for swimming.

A few moments of awareness could save a life 💙
