Members of Hinckley and District Parkinson’s Branch recently attended the Leicestershire Parkinson’s Information Day in Melton Mowbray. The event featured the Chief Executive, along with a range of inspiring speakers, who shared valuable insights and information about living with and supporting those affected by Parkinson’s. It was an informative and engaging day, and everyone who attended gained a great deal from the experience.
A huge Thank you to the organising team for all of the hard work that went in to making a highly successful day.

Parkinsons UK have a garden at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show. The garden is called ‘Parkinson’s UK - A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey’ and is designed by award winning gardener and BBC presenter Arit Anderson.

John gave an informative and engaging talk about the Parkinson’s UK Tech Guide, sharing helpful information on devices, apps, and technology available to support people living with Parkinson’s. Members also had the opportunity to ask questions and explore the many ways technology can help make everyday life a little easier.

On May 4th, the wonderful village of Sheepy Magna near Atherstone came together for its annual Village Sale — a fantastic community event with over 60 households opening their gardens to sell unwanted items and welcome visitors from across the area.

Members of the Hinckley Parkinson’s UK branch were proud to be part of the day, hosting a stall to help raise awareness and support for the group. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who visited, donated, and supported us, we raised an amazing £380 for the branch.

A huge thank you to the Sheepy Magna community for such a warm welcome and for supporting local causes alongside this brilliant village tradition!

A fantastic day at Burton Albion as 10 members of our group proudly represented Parkinson’s UK.

A big thank you to JD Promotions for making this special experience possible. It was great to know that number 10, Tyrese Shade wore the Parkinson’s UK logo on the away shirt—what an incredible moment of awareness and support!

The group also enjoyed a lovely meal and an exciting match, making it a truly memorable day all round. 💙
