🌞Now that we're heading into (hopefully) warmer months, if you're planning a BBQ or relaxing outdoors, it’s important to stay fire-safe. Here are some quick tips to keep you and your neighbours protected:

✅ Never use a barbecue or firepit on a balcony – it’s a serious fire risk
✅ Never use them indoors – carbon monoxide is deadly
✅ Always place them on a flat surface, away from sheds, trees or fences
✅ Never leave them unattended, especially around children
✅ Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby – just in case
✅ Let everything cool down before moving it.

🏳️‍🌈 Everyone deserves to feel safe at home, and at work.

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirming our commitment to creating inclusive, supportive places to live and work, where people can truly be themselves.

At Twenty11, it’s not just about June, it’s about what we do every day to make sure everyone feels they belong.

Because feeling safe should never be a question.

The Renters’ Rights Act also introduces pet‑friendly tenancy provisions and new protections in the years ahead.

Landlords will no longer be able to unreasonably refuse permission for pets, and new systems such as a landlord ombudsman and property portal will be introduced from late 2026.

At Twenty11, we already meet many of the standards being introduced and will continue to keep tenants informed every step of the way.

A key change in the Renters’ Rights Act is the abolition of ‘no fault’ (Section 21) evictions.

This means landlords will no longer be able to evict tenants without a valid reason, giving tenants greater security and stability in their homes.

New grounds of possession will apply in specific circumstances, such as serious arrears or antisocial behaviour, and must be supported by evidence.

Last month, we delivered a CV Building workshop in partnership with Twenty11 Homes – and it’s great to see the impact these sessions are having.

Participants told us they felt more job‑ready, more confident, and better equipped to take the next step towards employment.

Learner feedback:
“I just wanted to say thank you for the CV workshop today. I found it really helpful and informative, and it has given me more confidence in improving my CV.” – Twenty11 tenant

Partner feedback:
“We’d like to run more workshops with you in the future, particularly Digital Skills and First Aid sessions.” – Nichola, Twenty11

Collaborations like this show the power of partnership in helping people build skills, confidence and pathways into work. We’re really looking forward to continuing this work together.
