Radnage Parish Council

Radnage Parish Council Radnage is a beautiful village nestled in the Chiltern Hills.

The Parish councils’ purpose is to ensure our community is a safe, clean, desirable place to live and bring up our families, and to forge a sense of community as a first level of liaison.

As you may have seen or heard, we had some more fly tipping down Bower’s Lane in the lay-by. We have cleared it so not to encourage more. The area is covered by CCTV, it has been reported and furthermore the contents of the rubbish had children’s clothes with names which has been shared. If you see anything suspicious, then please message us, forward photos and note the time. The more evidence we can supply the greater the chance of successful prosecution. Thank you

Radnage Parish Council are setting up a working group to build a Neighbourhood Plan for our Village. This will help us to influence future developments but is also our chance to build a blueprint for what we want Radnage to be and set some ambitions for future projects. If you would like to be considered to join this group please email me your interest and we can get things moving! Please send to my RPC email. [email protected]

This evening I was made aware that a child had found a lighter and needle in the ‘always-open’ part of the car park of the Village Hall near the opening to Green Lane. This was obviously extremely disturbing for the parents of the child, who is ok and was not injured by the needle, but it could have been much worse. Both being found together it clearly looks to be drug related.
We have seen an increase in the depositing of beer cans and empty bottles of alcohol in the bins, it’s also been noted that medical gloves, dressings and other medical items have been often left in those open bins.
We will naturally be working with the police, and will be seeking an increased police presence in the area alongside either a private or police dog sweep to see if any other drug related items are found.
We will consider closing the village hall car park at night for a period of time to deter loiterers, installing CCTV and lighting along the driveway.
Please see attached photo of the offending lighter and syringe found. The lighter is a very distinct Ibiza one, that I’m hoping nobody local will recognise.
This is our village, a family friendly and safe environment, and we will not let this change.
Please be vigilant and report either to the police or the parish council any suspicious behaviour.

The Big Top is up, the bar is stocked and the meat ready for a great bbq. Face painting, bouncy castle and assault course, DJ and a band, silent disco, footie, tug of war and sun, why wouldn’t you come. Bring the family, friends and catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while.
Hope to see you tomorrow from 12noon at the Village Hall 😎 🍻 🥂
