We’re excited to be teaming up with Trailblazer to bring a whole host of FREE support, activities, skills and opportunities right here to Back of The Moss Community Centre!

🧹🌿 BACK OF THE MOSS IS CLEAN!!!🌿🧹

WOW… what a day! 💚👏

Today our fantastic Outreach Worker Stacey teamed up with Karen from Cleanupuk Rochdale CleanupUK to organise our very own Back of The Moss Community Clean Up Day of Action - and what an incredible effort it has been!

We were joined by Karen, along with Janice from Crimble Croft who is Clean Up Hub for Heywood, Jennifer, Davina the brilliant team from Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, and Rochdale Council who provided our community with a skip AND multiple tip runs completely FREE of charge!

And the results speak for themselves…

50+ bags of litter collected
5 tip runs
1 VERY full skip
A whole lot of community spirit!

We had volunteers of all ages getting stuck in - from our littlest helpers right through to our more experienced volunteers. We even had people travelling all the way from Preston just to lend a hand to our little community.

And then there was our Centre Manager Gillian… who somehow ended up in a SWAMP! 😂😂😂 We said community clean-up, Gillian… not I’m A Celebrity!🤣

A particularly HUGE shout-out has to go to our little volunteers, who absolutely showed the grown-ups how it's done! You were AMAZING and should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

A massive thank you to Stacey, Karen, Jennifer, Janice, Davina, RBH and every single person who gave up their time, got their gloves on, picked up a litter picker, filled bags, shifted rubbish or simply came along to support us today.

Days like today show exactly what can happen when organisations, residents and volunteers work together.

BOTM Community is CLEAN!** ✨🌿

Now the challenge is keeping it that way! 👀😂

Our amazing Outreach Worker, Stacey, has teamed up with CleanupUK Heywood and Rochdale Borough Housing to help make BOTM Community Centre a cleaner, greener place for everyone.

We're inviting members of our community to join us TOMORROW Monday 24th August for a few hours to help litter pick, tidy up and make a real difference to the area we all call home.

Whether you can spare 30 minutes or a few hours, every helping hand makes a difference. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, enjoy some fresh air and show pride in our community.
