Contributions to Community Projects Award 2024

Over the years weโ€™ve recognised organisations based on their positive environmental impact.

Tonacliffe Forest School & Community Allotment offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.

The project ensures that all individuals are learning no matter what their individual ability and they are encouraged to learn within an outdoor setting.

The project is run by qualified practitioners who continuously maintain and develop
their professional practice.

They take the role of facilitator, providing opportunities to learn through play and exploration.

Sessions are flexible and learnersโ€™ interests followed and nurtured.

The community allotment has also been used by many in the community and is a
source of fruit and vegetables for The Lighthouse Foodshare in Whitworth.

The winner of our Community Projects Award 2024 is Tonacliffe Forest School & Community Allotment.
