The ELY Memorial Fund was set up after Ange Tyler lost her only daughter, stepdaughter to Steve Tyler, in a tragic car accident on 30th September 2010. Their lives were turned upside down that night when they were informed that Emma had died at the scene of the accident. Emma lived at home at 23 when she passed away. She had not written a will and didn't have life insurance, consequently Emma died
'Intestate' and any debts fell to her parents Ange and Steve. Suddenly they were faced with organising her funeral and not really knowing her wishes which was very upsetting. Furthermore, after three weeks they received a funeral bill of just under ÂŁ5,000. Without the means to cover the costs, they turned to Emma's Nan to help pay for her beautiful funeral. Ange and Steve don't want families to struggle during these tragic circumstances, so ELY was set up to provide a condolence gift as a one-off payment towards a basic funeral of up to ÂŁ3,000 to help families who live in Herefordshire who lose a son or daughter aged between 17 to 25 years in a car accident. There are no words to describe the pain of losing Em so cruelly. She is truly missed every day and through ELY Ange and Steve can keep her loving legacy forever in their hearts and minds.
