๐Ÿšจ Go-To Business Spotlight โ€“ NFU Mutual Hereford North and Borders | Protect What Matters: Preventing Fires in Farm Buildings

Did you see our Hub Go-To Business feature in our May newsletter? In partnership with NFU Mutual Hereford North and Borders, highlighting the importance of fire prevention on farms and the practical steps farmers across Herefordshire can take to reduce the risk of devastating fires in agricultural buildings.

Farm fires can have serious consequences, leading to the loss of livestock, machinery, crops, buildings, and valuable business assets. With combustible materials, machinery, fuels, and electrical systems all present on farm sites, taking preventative action is essential.

๐Ÿ”ฅ The feature explores key fire prevention measures, including regular machinery maintenance, safe storage of hay, straw, fuels and chemicals, electrical safety checks, fire risk assessments, and ensuring emergency plans are in place.

Whether you run a livestock, arable, or mixed farming enterprise, being proactive about fire safety can help protect your business, your animals, and your livelihood.
