Working together to protect our water for the future πŸ’§πŸŒ±

Herefordshire Rural Hub is delighted to be working with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water as a WaterSource Collaborative Partner.

Through this partnership, we’ll be supporting farmers, land managers, rural businesses and communities to understand how the way we manage land and water can influence water quality and the wider water environment.

Welsh Water owns less than 5% of the land within its catchments, so working together with those who manage the land is essential to safeguarding our drinking water sources β€” now and for generations to come.

The WaterSource programme brings people together to understand the challenges facing our water environment and identify practical ways we can all help protect it.

🚜 Farm Safety Week | Wednesday 22 July – The Response

Today's Farm Safety Week theme is "The Response" with the key message: "No Time to Lose – The Reality of Responding to Farm Accidents."

When an accident happens on a farm, the response in those first few minutes can make all the difference.

That's why, at Herefordshire Rural Hub, we're passionate about improving farm safety. Earlier this year, we delivered five farm-based first aid training workshops for Herefordshire farmers, helping them build the skills and confidence to respond effectively to on-farm emergencies.

Supporting Farm Safety Week is about more than raising awarenessβ€”it's about encouraging practical action that can save lives. Every farm should be prepared, every worker should know what to do, and every effort to improve safety matters.

Let's continue to have honest conversations about farm safety and work together to reduce the number of life-changing injuries and fatalities in our farming communities.

πŸ’› Because when it comes to a farm accident, there's no time to lose.
