🌟 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 – 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘! 💙

This morning, Toni from Community Power popped into Newton Farm Community Hub to catch up with our fantastic Community Cancer Champion, Nikki, and hear how she's getting on since completing her training.

The news couldn't have been better! 🙌

Nikki is so passionate about making a difference that she's now keen to book more of the Hub's volunteers onto our FREE Community Cancer Champion training. Her vision is for anyone visiting the Hub to be able to speak with a trained Cancer Champion, ask questions about the early signs and symptoms of cancer, understand the importance of screening, and feel confident about where to find support.

💬 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 – empowering local people to have life-saving conversations within their own communities.

As we mark 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, it's a timely reminder that small conversations really can lead to big changes. By raising awareness, encouraging healthy choices and promoting cancer screening, together we can help more cancers be found earlier, when treatment is often more successful.

St Michael’s hospice are here Tomorrow and every 2nd Monday of every month at our Newton Farm Community Hub, 23 The Oval, Herefofd. HR27HG

Join us for our free monthly bereavement group, open to anyone within Herefordshire.

We know the idea of a bereavement group might sound sombre, but fear not - our sessions are anything but sad. It's like a comforting cup of tea for your soul, where you can share stories, memories, and laughter with others who understand what you're going through.

This isn't a therapy session, it's a friendly meet-up.

Our supportive hospice team will be there with warm smiles and a listening ear.

You're not alone on this journey, so come along, share, connect, and let's fill our hearts with hope together.

We know Spills and Trips can happen with Food and drink. Please, please can you let a member of staff know if anything gets spilt within the Hub please. We can then deal with it immediately.

The Hub Carpet has been again cleaned by one of our wonderful Volunteers and is now trying nicely. Thank you
