Situated in the heart of Stondon, Bedfordshire, just a few miles north of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, the Stondon Community Centre is a welcoming space at the centre of village life. Opened in 2025, the centre provides a hub for events, activities, and gatherings. Whether you’re joining us for a community event, attending a regular class, or planning a special celebration, our aim is to create a warm

and inclusive space for everyone. The Community Centre is available for hire all year round, catering to regular groups as well as one-off bookings, with a range of flexible facilities to suit your needs:

Main Hall – A spacious, versatile hall that can be divided into two smaller areas (capacity: 150 standing or 120 seated)

Function Room – Perfect for meetings, workshops, and small group activities (capacity: 50 seated)

Changing Rooms – Home, Away, and Officials’ changing facilities

Commercial Kitchen – Fully equipped, with direct access to the Main Hall

Bottle Bar – Accessible from both the Function Room and Main Hall

Parking – 35 on-site spaces, including 4 electric vehicle charging points, plus an overflow car park for 25 vehicles nearby

Whether it’s a community gathering, private party, business meeting, or sports event, we’re proud to provide a modern, friendly venue for the people of Stondon and beyond.

It is a great event and this year will be bigger and better.

Stalls are £20 per pitch.

We will have only 1 of each type of stall, to ensure you have a great day!

🎭🎩Broadway Boogie Encore LAUNCHES tomorrow!🎩🎭

This class is a low intensity and low impact fitness class inspired by show songs from our favourite musicals and films!

So come along, bring your jazz hands 👐, sing along to your fav tracks (singing is strongly encouraged but not compulsory) 🎶 and be the star of your own show whilst moving your body 💃🏼

🧹🌿 Community Litter Pick – Saturday 13 June 🌿🧹

Please join us for a community litter pick on Saturday 13 June at 10:00am and help keep our village looking its best. ♻️

Volunteers are asked to meet at Stondon Community Centre to collect litter-picking equipment and be allocated an area to cover. This helps make sure all areas are included and avoids duplication.

🧤 Gloves, bags, and litter pickers will be provided.

Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear. Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult.

🎄 CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA – FREE EVENT FOR STONDON RESIDENTS AGED 65+ 🎄

Stondon Parish Council is delighted to invite residents aged 65 and over to a free festive Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 10 December 2025, 2pm–4pm at Stondon Community Centre.

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon with delicious treats and live entertainment from Brook & The Backbeats!

We have 80 tickets available, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.One ticket per person and proof of Stondon residency is required.

📝 Ticket Registration & Collection:
• Friday 21 November, 10:00–11:00 – 3 Star Park Manager’s Office
• Monday 24 November, 10:00–11:00 – Stondon Community Centre

Representatives may register on your behalf. Please bring photo ID and a recent utility bill. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of registration.
