The 2026 Accessible Guide to Cornwall is here! 🌊

Access Cornwall CIC has published the 2026 edition of the Accessible Guide to Cornwall - a free guide to accessible places to stay, eat, visit and explore across Cornwall.

Each listing is based on lived experience of disability, long-term health conditions and neurodivergence, providing honest and practical information to help people plan their visit with confidence. 💙

10,000 printed copies are being distributed across Cornwall at tourist information centres, attractions, accommodation providers, supermarkets and community venues.

New Cornwall People First Online Autism Group 💛

Cornwall People First are starting a new online Zoom group for adults with autism.

The first session will be a relaxed chance to get to know each other and talk about experiences at the GP.

Have you arranged and paid for your own care and support? 💬

Skills for Care would like to hear from people who choose and arrange their own care, including people who use a direct payment, personal budget or their own money.

Your experiences could help improve the Level 5 Commissioning for Wellbeing qualification, which supports people who plan and buy care and support.

💷 You’ll receive £20 for each hour you take part.

Join Citizen checkers for 7 interactive training sessions exploring the 7 Keys of Citizenship: Love, Freedom, Home, Money, Help, Life and Meaning.

The sessions bring together people who draw on services, providers, leaders and frontline staff to learn how to work together in inclusive and co-productive ways. 💬

Assistance Dogs: Supporting Independence 🦮

In this video, we learn more about assistance dogs and the important role they play in supporting people with disabilities and health conditions.

We look at what assistance dogs are, how they are trained, the different types of assistance dogs and why it is important that they are welcomed in public places.

Assistance dogs are highly trained working animals. They can support people who are blind or visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, have seizures or medical conditions, or have physical disabilities or autism.

We also look at the barriers people with assistance dogs can face and why access matters.
