After last years advent calendar I had a few requests from people wanting a couple of the decorations. So with no training and a bit of time on my hands I’ve started to make some of them.

As many of you will know I unfortunately could not take part in the London Marathon 2026 due to breaking my ankle 4 weeks ago.

However, I still went down to London to support both my team mate Lucy Cummins (who carried my decorated bra on her bumbag) and my Son Tom. We had a lovely weekend and although a little strange doing the supporter role it was a fantastic event and great atmosphere. Even got to see the Elite men & women and my goodness blink and you miss them.

My London Marathon place has been deferred to 2027 so fingers crossed for that.

Anyone wishing to sponsor Lucy and Walk the Walk then please use the following link https://2026tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/lucy-cummins

Would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has taken the time to message, phone, send cards, flowers and chocolates since my accident. I’ve even received gifts and cards from people that I’ve never met. I am very thankful to you all taking time and thinking of me.

Week on from my operation and the pain is starting to ease. And for those of you that buy my Christmas Decorations….plans are starting to take place. X

London Marathon 2026....

I've had to bring the end date forward for the Bra Signs just so it gives me time to finish and then get the bras in the post to Lucy. I've a few still to make on the list so don't worry if you have ordered some and not seen them on the event page...I promise you have not been forgotten.

Anyone still wishing to be part of this years (and next years) London Marathon then please follow the link below. Closing date to order is WEDNESDAY 8TH APRIL. Don't forget every penny from the sign sponsors will go directly to the charity.

4th race of the year didn’t end well xx

Sorry for the late update from the Bath 50k at the weekend, but I wanted to inform Walk the Walk and let them be the first to know before giving at update.

Unfortunately, at around the half way mark I took a very bad fall on a very muddy section of the course. This resulted in me not being able to get up, an ambulance was called and after an assessment it was decided I needed a trip to A&E. Which was a task in its self and resulted in some not so nice drugs and a lot of hooping.

I had my own personal driver that kindly delivered me to the hospital (Andy -Lucy’s Husband). The long and short of it is that I have broken my ankle (or rather smashed it) and am now in a temporary cast awaiting an operation in 2 weeks.

So it is with great sadness that I have to say I will now not be taking part in this year’s LONDON MARATHON.

And after 26 years of doing events Saturday saw me receive my first ever DNF (did not finish) for a race. To say I’m gutted is a bit of an understatement.

Would like to say a massive thank you to Lucy for staying with me whilst waiting for the ambulance, Kim for helping to get the ambulance to me, Andy for getting me to A&E, Mum & Dad for getting back home and to Tina & Simon for getting me home home in one piece.

Also to everyone that was taking part that stopped to see if they could help and for the kind people that gave me extra space blankets.

Gynette x
