❤️ WHAT IF CREATIVITY WAS AS IMPORTANT AS GOING TO THE GYM? https://artsforhealthandwellbeingcic.org/
We go to the gym to exercise our bodies, not because we want to become Olympic athletes, but because we know movement is good for our health.
So why don't we think about creativity in the same way?
You don't have to be an artist to make art, any more than you have to be an athlete to exercise.
Creativity is something we are all born with. It's part of being human.
And just like physical exercise, it's something we can practise.
Painting, making, music, movement, storytelling, imagination, play. These aren't just hobbies. They're opportunities to express ourselves, build confidence, connect with others, find moments of calm and support our mental and emotional wellbeing.
But here's the thing that matters deeply to me.
Not everyone can afford a place at the table.
For some people, the cost of a workshop is the difference between taking part and staying at home. And those who could benefit enormously from the connection, enjoyment and sense of belonging are sometimes the very people who miss out.
I want to help change that.
Through Arts for Health & Wellbeing CIC, we're working to make creativity part of everyday life, accessible to more people across our communities.
We've just launched our first fundraising campaign, Creativity Changes Lives – Help Us Make It Happen, with an initial goal of £2,500.
Every donation will help us work towards offering creative experiences to people who might otherwise be unable to afford them.
Whether it's £2, £5, £10 or simply sharing this post, your support matters.
❤️ Help us give someone a place at the table.
Not to be perfect. Not to be talented. Not to produce a masterpiece.
Just to create. To connect. To belong.
Because you don't have to be good at something for it to do you good.
Thank you for believing that creativity belongs to everyone.
More art. More people. Better wellbeing.
