Another treasure on display , a set of charity jewels made from ammunition casings recovered from the battlefields of the Somme.

Dated 1977 and made by the Charity Steward of Amitie Normandie Lodge No30 in the province of Neustrie under the French Constitution.

A magnificent piece of history using remnants of a dark time and converting them into a good cause.

We are lucky at HMH Museum to have a large number of Founder Jewels from local North Wales lodges , I plan to showcase these Jewels as time goes on, lets begin with the Jewels below.

These 2 beautiful jewels belonged to a Founder member and a Consecrating officer of Memory Lodge 4264 in Connahs Quay and were donated to the HMH museum many years ago to be preserved and enjoyed by all.

The Lodge was consecrated on 27th August 1921. The name "Memory" was chosen to perpetuate the memory of the late Bro. Harry Charles Carter, Senior Warden of St Mark's Lodge No. 2423, a rifleman who gave his life during the Battle of the Somme in 1916. Memory Lodge meet in Farfield Hall Connahs Quay.

The jewels below belonged to W.Bro Fred Green and have been preserved in the museum along with the memory of his contribution to Freemasonry in the province of North Wales.

The Dee Side Lodge was consecrated in 1917 however handed in its warrant in during December 2023.

St Deiniol's Lodge was consecrated in 1907 is still active in the Hall to this Day.
