Harthill Carnival Society-A village organisation of volunteers creating community events in Harthill

The Society was formed as as non-profit organisation to provide Harthill and the surrounding areas with a traditional Carnival, held in July and with the exception of one year the event has run every year since 1974. The Society is run by a team of volunteers organising and running events throughout the year and we actively seek and encourage new volunteers to join us.

ROAD CLOSURE AND PARADE INFORMATION.
TODAY 11th July- (Lengthy post alert)

As with the previous 50+ years there will be our annual Carnival Parade and to ensure the safety of all a set of rolling road closures in place for times throughout the afternoon.

If you are part of the Parade please see a Marshall at the top of Firvale approx 11:45

Road Closures - Starting at 12:00 Noon on Saturday 11th July until approx 13:30, Access into, around and out of the village will be severely restricted with a closure into the village on Union Street, Winney Hill, Thorpe road and Woodall Lane. Road closure signs have been in place for some time now.

We ask you to plan ahead and if you need to leave or enter the village to have your vehicle outside of the planned road closures before 12:00 noon. If possible if you're on the Parade route we would ask that any vehicles are moved from the road/road side to aid with the passing of the parade.

Marshalls will be in place on the day to help and support. Apologies for any inconvenience but we look forward to continuing this village tradition and hope to see you all out on the streets to support the parade.

To clear up any confusion and questions with regards Saturday Evenings event.

Due to licensing restrictions we will not be showing the England football game on Saturday.
For those people with Tickets to Jungle Lion, doors will open at 7.30pm and Jungle Lion will be on stage at 8.30pm. Please note this is a SOLD OUT.
