Harrogate Sea Cadets

Harrogate Sea Cadets We are a uniformed Youth organisation based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy We take cadets from 10 years old to 17.

In the summer you'll generally find us at Ripon Sailing Club, Farnham, Knaresborough. We are always on the look out for new volunteers too! If you think you want a new hobby and make some new friends then give us a shout! The easiest way to get in touch is via email [email protected]

Something a little different on the water tonight!

Cadets took part in two team rowing challenges on the trinities. Fender Raid, where crews race to unclip the opposing team's trailing fender before they can do the same to you, and Rowing Tug of War, oars vs oars, pure muscle and teamwork!

Great effort from everyone involved. Watch this space for more on-water activities coming soon!

Last night on the lake was simply fantastic.

Perfect sun, perfect wind, conditions couldn't have been better. A brilliant evening all round, and a reminder of just how lucky we are to get out on the water.

We're launching a "Fabric-First" decarbonization project to modernize our historic stable block with upgraded insulation, new glazing, and energy-efficient LED lighting. The result? A warm, welcoming training hub for our cadets that's also better for the planet.

How many cadets can you fit in a Trinity? A lot apparently. 😅

Some of our cadets also got to test out our new ship simulator prototype today and the feedback was awesome. This is going to be a great tool for training.
