Senior Fixtures on Saturday

1stXV Away at Sedgley Tigers RUFC 2.30pm KO

A short trip along the M62 sees us face league leaders Sedgley Park. The Tigers have been in rampant form, averaging 57 points per game from their opening six matches. Our defence will need to be right on the money as we look to halt one of the division's most dangerous attacking sides.

Hawks Home V Bramley Phoenix 3pm KO

The Hawks return to North Dean for their first home league fixture of the season after a perfect start on the road, collecting maximum points from each of their opening games. After braving the conditions up at Warley last weekend, the lads will no doubt be looking forward to a return to the famously sunny climate of North Dean.

September Players of the Month

1stXV - Harvey Keighley-Payne
If National League Rugby didnt know about our skipper before the season started it certainly does now. He was awarded the man of the match in the first 3 games following some amazing performances both in attack and defence.

Hawks - Will Baxter
Will has been outstanding in the back row for the Hawks during their opening league fixtures. Once again, he's excelled with ball in hand while also putting in the hard graft around the park, throwing himself into the tough work and putting his head where it hurts for the good of the team.

We also had 2 birthday boys in Callum and Dillon, they didnt share their cake though!

Massive thank you to Kelly Moore and Nandos Halifax agreeing to host our Player of the Month award meals throughout the season. As a further incentive Nandos Halifax have gifted a voucher worth £50 for our U15s,U16s,U17s,Hawks and 1stXV player of the month.

Nandos Halifax are passionate about supporting the development of our current and future players, make sure you pay them a visit next time you eat out in Halifax.

It's nearly the weekend... it's Tomcast time, alongside the usual reviews of last week and previews of tomorrow we have a derby special. Tom shares some stories from the toughest derbies he's play in for Rugby Bassano 1976 in Italy and ACS - AC Soissons Rugby in France.
Oh and that is not an AI image.. thats Tom from his days playing in France and fronting a grunge band..... who thinks he should bring back that hair?

🚨SENIOR SQUADS FOR TOMORROW🚨

It's derby weekend and we have 2 huge league games for our senior sides.

1stXV v Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club Home 2.30pm KO
This has all the ingredients of a blockbuster, with players on both sides having worn the colours of each club. Some enforced changes with Chris Moore and Ben Stringer out Injured. In the pack Dan Smith and Dillon North move into the starting line up. In the backs Sam Cox is recalled at 9 and Seb Jeffers gets a start after an impressive debut off the bench last week. On the bench there are 1stXV debuts for Luke Townsend who has been a standout for the Hawks and Alfie Jones who has joined us from Sale FC. Zac Baker gets a recall and is joined by utility impact player Elliott Spiers.

Hawks V Halifax Vandals RUFC Away 3.00pm KO.
The Hawks have had a perfect start to the season with 10 points from 2 games, this will be their toughest test yet though. In the pack Carter Haigh returns to the starting lineup and Sam Sharp returns to the side. In the backs there is a debut for Harry Fell at 10. On the bench experienced campaigners Richard Dance and Harry Granger make their first league appearances of the season.
