Under The Trees turned 11 this year (2022)! We have come along way since beginning as a Trading Name for Jess and now we are a Charity! We work within our communities, providing a wide range of outdoor learning opportunities. We had a wonderful 'wildflower' walk in the rain this morning! 🌧️🌷😍

Who said walking in the rain is miserable? Our walking group had a lovely time this morning. Boots on, hoods up and away we went, looking for the colourful wildflowers bursting through the green! From the tiniest flower to the brightest bushes we spotted lots of lovely flowers to cheer up our day!

And the shelter was up so we could have soup and a cuppa in the dry along with a chat before we all headed home!

⭐️Sessions begin at 1pm and 2pm or you can stay for the full 2 hours
⭐️There will be opportunities for games and time for the children to play freely with the equipment
⭐️Free to attend thanks to funding from Inspiring Scotland
⭐️No booking required
⭐️Aimed at children 5-11 to attend with parents/carers
⭐️Make sure to dress for the weather as we will be outdoors

Wow! What a fantastic opportunity we had today. The Eco Champions of Ladeside Primary School joined us in Stenhousemuir Town Centre to replant the planters in the town centre!

They worked incredibly hard, especially in this scorching heat and the planters are now looking lovely! Thank you to everyone who commented as you passed us. Your kind comments really made our day!

Huge thanks for KLSB Community Group for their contribution towards the plants and for letting us use the Point Café to grab a moment of respite and some nice cold drinks and a treat!

Another massive thanks to Woodside Plants for again supplying all the plants! They are looking stunning!

And finally thanks to Todhill Wind Farm for their support of both Under the Trees Outdoor Learning and KLSB. Without their funding we would not have been involved in this project or had funds to purchase the plants!

I'm sure you'd all agree that it's great to see our young people out taking care of our community. We certainly enjoyed today and we hope the people of Stenhousemuir will enjoy the plants for the rest of the summer season! ☀️🪻🌷

One of our most beautiful and fascinating nature walks yet. We started with some simple tree ID using both leaves and flowers, before taking an hour long walk through the beautiful Plean Country Park looking for trees that were flowering, from the stunning Crab Apple blossom to the more camouflage Sycamore flowers there was lots to fill us with wonder along the way!

🌳🍂Who loves hunting for conkers in the autumn? Did you know that now is a great time of year to hunt down a spot for your next conker collecting mission! Why? Because the flowers on horse chestnut trees are so distinctive! If you don't already know what these magnificent trees look like in the Spring, then take a look at the photos, and you'll be spotting them every time you're out and about. The flowers are sometimes referred to as candles!
