Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 7+ play sessions at Plean Country Park, funded by Thrive Outdoors.

We had a fantastic three afternoons of creating, designing, problem solving, relaxing, swinging and learning new skills, all through the medium of play!

We know the schools are going back next week but there will be more play sessions for our Woodland Tots released soon so keep your eye on the page!

Our 7+ Adventurers had the best afternoon in the rain today. Despite the forecast they showed up full of smiles and got stuck in building a track that would take water from their hand-dug lake back to the stream. They worked together superbly as a team to collect water(without entering the stream) to fill their lake and later enjoyed s'mores on the campfire under the shelter.

The trees and shelter protected us from the showers for the duration and only when the children had left and it was time to pack up did the heavens open and pour torrentially soaking us right through to the skin! 🤭🤣 But we won't talk about that! 😅

A message for all our 7+ adventurers at Plean today: We are going ahead as planned but please bring waterproof clothing if you have some and perhaps a few spare pairs of socks in a plastic bag in case feet get soggy. We will have a few spare pairs of waterproof trousers with us but may not have an appropriate size for everyone.

If your child would like to play in the stream, ensure they have some waterproof shoes with them or a change of footwear. We won't allow anyone to go in barefoot and will check water levels on arrival.

Where has the time flown to? We're approaching the final full week of the summer holidays in Falkirk and are excited about the fun we hope to have this week!

Please note that our 7+ Play at Plean and the Big Picnic at Stenhousemuir have limited spaces and must be booked in advance. We do have a waiting list for each of these events so if you have booked on and can no longer attend please email us or cancel your ticket via Bookwhen so that we can make the space available for others.
