National two-minute silence to mark VJ Day 80.
A national two-minute silence will be held at 12 noon on Friday 15 August 2025 to honour the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.

If you can, no matter where you are, please join us in honouring all those who gave their lives, were held as POWs in horrendous conditions (nearly 30% died in captivity)
and those who lived with the horrors they witnessed in East Asia.

We will be supporting events organised in Dornoch on Friday but will lay our own wreath and raise the VJ Day 80 flag at our War Memorial.
