The Cheltenham & District Orchid Society was formed in 1975 to promote and encourage the growing, knowledge and education in the Culture of Orchids.

A must for anyone interested in orchids in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. We are a very friendly Society and if you've got 1 or 100 orchids, or would like to know more before buying your first plant, why not join us?

At our monthly meetings we also have an 'Other Plants' table and in October trying to photograph this Staghorn Fern was a problem, although it shows that you can run but you can't hide at our meetings!

Our October 'Plant of the Month' as voted for by our members, Pleione x lagenaria is a natural hybrid between Pleione maculata and Pleione praecox.
