On Wednesday, we had a celebration for our volunteers, just a small way of saying thank you for everything they do.

From cake and flower arranging to nails, music, and even some relaxing, silent counselling, it was a lovely fun afternoon!

We were delighted to attend the Fife Voluntary Action Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards this week. Although we didn’t win our category, we were thrilled to see Cruse Bereavement recognised for its incredible work.

It was a fantastic evening, full of inspiring stories and achievements. A great reminder of the wide range of meaningful work happening across the voluntary sector in Fife.

Over the past 12 months, our incredible volunteers have given a combined 2,127 hours of their time.

From buddy support to project volunteering, allotment work, parents forum input, and fundraising efforts - this is just a snapshot of the many ways our volunteers show up and make a difference every single day.

We simply couldn’t do what we do without you.

As part of Volunteers’ Week, some of our amazing volunteers and their families braved the rain yesterday to enjoy a BBQ and games at our allotment!

Our allotment, run by Pete and our volunteer Phil, is a special space for our families.

Together, they create a welcoming, fun space and grow fresh vegetables that we share across our groups, with families, and use in our Tea Time Clubs.

It was lovely to see everyone come together and having fun!

💜 Volunteers’ Week 2026 💜

This week we’re celebrating the amazing volunteers who give their time, care and energy to support Fife Gingerbread.

We’ve got a few special activities planned throughout the week to say thank you, starting today with our allotment BBQ with plenty of fun for the kids too!
We’ll also be coming together later in the week for a special celebration party!
