Our thoughts are with friends and family at this time

We have some sad news to bring you this evening.

A body has been found in the search for missing man, Aeman, in Slough.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the body is believed to be that of Aeman.

His next of kin have been informed and we ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

We also ask that our appeal and photos of Aeman are removed from online platforms.

A warm Saturday with a full scale search exercise to put our command team and search capabilities to test with not only a MISPER find but multiple injects to test response and reaction to unexpected and unfolding situations, including a simulated road traffic accident and an unconscious member of the public. We deployed multiple assets throughout the day and exercised our joint working with Thames Valley Police. We had the absolute honour of sharing the day with the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Nikki Ross!

Thank you to everybody who attended to make the day fruitful, enjoyable and the perfect environment to learn, enhance and develop as a team.

As often as we find ourselves in a field, last Friday Bucks Search & Rescue members were in a ‘field of giants’ in SAR when they attended the Global Search & Rescue Excellence Awards 2026 in London to support Ben Ward MInSTR, AMIfS who was shortlisted for the Unsung Hero award.

For BSAR the pride in having one of our own named as a finalist in this category was a real honour and significant recognition of Ben’s efforts and achievements. Although Ben did not win the award, the nomination was already ours and Ben’s win and we couldn’t have been more proud.

A huge congratulations to Andrew Gibson who was the worthy winner of the Unsung Hero award, and to all those shortlisted and winners of all the categories. It was truly a great chance to meet our peers. For a voluntary organisation it is great to be recognised alongside our colleagues in SAR.
Congratulations to our colleagues from Berkshire and Hampshire who were shortlisted for other categories.

Thank you to those who organised and supported the awards.

Congratulations once again Ben Ward MInSTR, AMIfS
