GXCA The Gerrards Cross Community Association (GXCA) is home to clubs, societies, adult education, a youth centre and leisure facilities. and for business meetings.

Rooms can be booked for a variety of social functions (clubs, parties, weddings etc.) The Gerrrards Cross Communiy Association was formed in 1947 in order to promote the well–being of the local community and ‘to advance education, to provide a meeting place….for recreation and social, moral, spiritual and intellectual development and to foster a community spirit’ by making available accommodation

for clubs and societies, sponsoring new activities and running educational classes in partnership with Buckinghamshire County Council and other adult education providers. The Association is a charity, financed from subscriptions, rentals and various fund-raising activities run throughout the year, including the February Attic Sale and the Jumble Sale in September. The main buildings on the site, set in grounds overlooking the Common and with car parking for more than one hundred vehicles, were erected or purchased and adapted, as living war memorials for those lost in the First and Second World Wars. The building next to the tennis courts was purchased by public subscription as a memorial to the fallen of the First World War and the main building, built circa 1750, was acquired from the Church of England, whose vicarage it once was, as a memorial to those of the Parish who were killed in the Second World War. The Memorial Centre now accommodates many special interest clubs, is host to public and private social events and offers a wide range of adult education classes.

‼️DO NOT MISS THE REPAIR CAFÉ @ GXCA ⏰ LAST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH - 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
From small electrical items to soft toys and everyday household fixes, we enjoy helping belongings stay useful for longer. Donations are welcome and help support our volunteers. By repairing, reusing and recycling, we also create opportunities for people to meet, connect and build lasting relationships.

Knife sharpening · Engineering · Carpentry · IT / Electronics · Ceramics · Bikes · Sewing · Toys … and much more. All repairs are carried out by volunteers. While results cannot be guaranteed, every item is treated with care, attention and genuine commitment. 🔧♻️🙂

🌻 DISCOVER SOMETHING NEW THIS SUMMER 🌻FOOD ILLUSTRATION WORKSHOP (D47) @ THE GXCA SUMMER SCHOOL 📅 Wednesday 5th August
Join Rashpal Teji, Head of Creative Arts at Beaconsfield High School, for a relaxed and inspiring introduction to the art of food illustration. Rashpal brings a wealth of experience, having studied Fine Art at university before completing her PGCE and MA in Education. With years of teaching experience across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, she creates a welcoming, supportive environment where creativity can thrive.

In this hands-on creative session, you will explore food illustration through mono printing and watercolour, experimenting with both controlled techniques and more expressive, free-flowing mark-making. You’ll look at a range of illustrative styles and artists, develop your own ideas, and enjoy time to experiment before producing a finished piece.

This sociable workshop encourages conversation, creativity, and relaxation—perfect for anyone looking to unwind, try something new, and leave with a finished illustration to be proud of.
