We had a fantastic day out at this years Rotary Children's Fun Day at Longleat
Taking over 80 children from Vallis First School , Hayesdown School, St John's First School and young carers with The Pod along with their teachers and helpers had a magical day exploring the safari park and heading out on the Adventure attractions. They were part of over 1000 children attending with the support of their local Rotary Clubs from all over Rotary District 1200

The Mayor of Frome Mark Dorrington joined us to see the great time the kids were having and Dorain said "I liked everything today, it was good to meet the mayor and try on his chain! I loved the lions"

We received lovely feedback from the schools
"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for such an amazingly run day yesterday. Our children loved it and so many of them had not had the opportunity to go to Longleat before. These are the children’s own words:

- I loved everything!

- I loved everything, it was so fun, can I do the same tomorrow?

- I loved going on the train with no doors

- I loved the ostriches and parakeets

- I loved seeing the meerkats, I loved the boat, I hadn’t been on one before

- I loved seeing all the animals especially the crocodiles and the meerkats

- I loved it all today!

Mike and Mary from the Rotary were fabulous on the bus too.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our dear friend Chris, and our hearts are full of sadness as we remember a truly wonderful man.
Chris was a devoted Rotarian and a loyal friend whose kindness, generosity, and quiet compassion touched so many lives. He gave so much in the service of others, always with humility and grace. He also had a wonderful sense of humour, and his warmth and wit brought laughter and light to everyone around him.
Above all, Chris was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a treasured grandfather. His love for his family was always clear, and they were at the very centre of his life.
We feel deeply grateful to have known him and will remember him with great affection, respect, and love.
Thank you for being you, Chris.
Rest in peace.
