Reclaim the Night Fleetwood

A feminist movement and march protesting sexual violence, street harassment, and gender-based abuse, while demanding the right for women and girls to walk freely and safely in public spaces at any time of day or night.

We’re looking to collaborate with local female led groups/ organisations/ youth hubs and craft groups. Please contact our team should you wish to be part of a powerful movement in our local town.

✨ Our ‘Bridge of Hope’ came alive with love and solidarity! ✨

During Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, we tied purple ribbons across the boating lake bridge on The Esplanade Fleetwood, over 3 days to symbolize solidarity, remembrance, and hope 💜

The visual display attracted the communities attention, which opened up some deep conversations from Women, Men and Children.

“I can relate”
“Mummy what is domestic abuse?”
“I can’t understand why men ‘hit’ women”

As a community we must talk about domestic abuse and coercive control and take action on this insidious crime, together. Unfortunately we still live in a society where people still see domestic abuse as just physical.

Messages of Hope were left for survivors, reminding everyone that they are never alone, which resulted in a lady reaching out to Domestic Abuse Support Hub- Behind Closed Doors for support.

It’s the 3rd and final day of the visual bridge display in honor of

There’s been lots of deep conversations, connections and messages of hope 💜

If your going for stroll, walking your dog or crabbing today- Pop a message of hope in the bag, for anyone affected by domestic abuse.

A message, reassures survivors they are not alone and that support is available.

Thank you so much to our local businesses who very kindly donated a voucher for our raffle and to everyone who took part 💜

We raised £242, which enables 9 of our members to receive a festive lunch and a gift each, this Christmas. 🫶

As a self funded organisation, we are incredibly grateful of each and every donation and contribution to our cause, no matter how big or small. Every penny makes such a difference to families affected by Domestic Abuse.
