Getting materials ready for tomorrow’s Memory Rug Weaving workshop at Filey Museum.

We’ll be exploring storytelling, memory, colour, and creative re-use through simple weaving techniques using old fabrics and clothing scraps.

There’s something really lovely about turning old materials into something new while sharing stories and conversations together.

A few spaces may still be available if anyone would like to join us.

We’re looking forward to being part of the Filey Outdoor Market at Crescent Gardens this Friday.

Come and say hello, find out more about Filey Museum, upcoming events, local history projects, and some of the creative and community activities happening over the summer.

The market is always a lovely mix of local independent businesses, handmade crafts, food, wellbeing stalls, artists, and community organisations, so it’s a great chance to support local makers and spend some time by the seafront.
