Critters in Crisis

26/09/2026

Kitty is looking for a home. She has been living outdoors since her owner died.

A kind neighbour has been feeding her but their landlord has told them to stop. They have reached out to us to help them find her new home before winter sets in.

This is the message they sent to us...

Hi, here are some pictures of poor Kitty, taken when her owner was alive...she's about 5 years old, neutered, likes the outdoors and coming in for a warm snuggle, timid but liked playing with her owners dog...it would be amazing if you could find somewhere for her with winter coming up we're worried about her, thank you. x

If you think that you can give Kitty the home she needs please contact us via messenger.

Home checks apply.

It's already a week since Kikki gave birth to five healthy babies. Here is a video of proud mum with her newborns.

You may remember Kikki's story. If it were not for the actions of a kind neighbour the outcome for Kikki and her babies could have been very different.

Please view the comments below to see what a difference a week can make...

Kiki was picked up last week by one of our volunteers. Barely a year old, Kiki is very underweight and heavily pregnant with her second litter.
She was being fed by a kind neighbour who reached out for help when she noticed that Kiki had been deliberately shut out from what had been her home.
Poor Kiki has already passed through two households only to land-up out on the street with no food and no safe place to have her babies.
Sadly it's an all too familiar tale. Luckily for Kiki, somebody noticed her who cared enough to help her.
Kiki is being fostered by Val who some of you will know as the resident vet nurse at the Caring4Critters shop on Aberdeen Walk in Scarborough.
Val will be looking after Kiki for the full-term of her pregnancy until her kittens are weaned and Kiki can be spayed.
Critters in Crisis will cover Kiki's vet costs, spay, microchip, vaccinations etc.
Watch out for forthcoming updates on Kiki's progress here on our page and information on how you can contribute towards helping her and other animals in need in the future.
