ABOUT US
Founded in 2002, Animate Arts Company CIC is a not-for-profit organisation with charitable aims. The company is man
aged and directed by our full-time Artistic Director and founder, Jo Dyer. Jo works alongside a team of talented team of over 30 artists, performers and creative practitioners with specialisms in all areas of the arts. We work with people of all ages, from early years, children and young people to families and whole communities, bringing people together through art projects and creative workshops. We work in all kinds of settings, in schools, museums and cultural spaces, indoors and out. We connect our participants with professional artists, performers and creatives, build teams and work collaboratively to create. We pride ourselves in raising participants’ self-confidence, building relationships and developing life-long skills. What we have achieved:
- We have worked with 80,000+ children and 400+ schools
- We have overseen the creation of 10,000+ artworks
- We've shared work with 100,000+ people through live audiences
- We've delivered projects that resulted in 98% increase in wellbeing
- And our flagship programme Art Builders engaged 7,500+ participants in 2019 alone
