For the Attlee Youth and Community Centre, this new playground represents far more than a place to play.
Based in Tower Hamlets, the charity supports more than 750 children, young people and families through inclusive activities and services, including support for children with ADHD, autism, behavioural needs and communication differences.
After five years without a proper playground, children now have a safe and welcoming space where they can be active, build confidence, develop friendships and challenge themselves through play.
The Attlee Centre’s Lead Playworker shared:
“This playground structure represents much more than a piece of equipment. It is a place where children can explore, be active, build confidence and create lasting memories.
“It will bring children of different ages and abilities together, while giving families opportunities to spend quality time together and strengthen their sense of community.”
Made possible through the commitment and hard work of 42 Deloitte volunteers, this new space will have a positive and lasting impact on local children, families and the wider community.
