A beautiful day of respite, laughter and connection for a group of unpaid family caregivers. 🦋

For a few precious hours, they stepped away from their daily caring responsibilities to relax, have fun and celebrate themselves, posing as butterflies – a symbol of hope, transformation and freedom.🦋

We are proud to support Fundación Heroínas en la Sombra in Santa Marta-Colombia, as they create opportunities like this and continue their inspiring work supporting and celebrating unpaid family carergivers.💚

From Burnout to Balance 💚

We’re proud to share a glimpse into one of the activities organised by Fundación Heroínas en la Sombra (Unsung Heroines Foundation), a small charity we are honoured to support in Santa Marta, Colombia.

This initiative offers unpaid family caregivers something truly invaluable: time to rest, recharge, and feel supported.

Too often, caregivers work quietly in the background—giving so much of themselves while remaining unseen. Through moments like these, they can move from burnout to balance, and from invisibility to being truly recognised and valued.

Let’s continue to shine a light on these silent heroes and ensure they never feel alone.

✨ “Mirate con Amor … Tú eres…” ✨
✨ “Look at yourself with love… you are…” ✨

This was the theme of International Women’s Day.
A simple yet powerful activity organised by Fundación Heroínas en la Sombra - Unsung Heroines- the foundation we proudly support in Colombia. 🧡

For a moment, each woman paused… stood in front of a mirror… and truly looked at herself. Not just as a caregiver, but as a person — as a woman who gives so much, often silently and without recognition.

This activity was about gently reminding them of something they so often forget:
their worth, their strength, and the love they carry within.

Because behind every caregiver, there is a woman who also needs to be seen, valued, and cared for.

💚Look at yourself with love… because you are strong, you are valued, and you are never invisible. 🧡
