Epping Forest & Harlow Community Transport

Epping Forest & Harlow Community Transport Epping Forest Community Transport is a registered charity providing transport for individuals, groups & schools across the Epping & Harlow District.

Epping Forest Community Transport started as an initiative of VAEF. It began operating as a transport provider in October 2001, with 1 minibus. It was established to provide accessible transport for those, who, for whatever reason, are unable to use conventional public transport. Epping Forest Community Transport, one of 13 Community Transport schemes in Essex, gained independence from Essex Count

y Council in December 2014. The service is supported by Essex County Council and Epping Forest District Council. Epping Forest Community Transport provides transport for those who have no access to either private or public transport. It is a project that utilises volunteer drivers and their cars and volunteer mini-bus drivers to meet the needs of individuals in Epping Forest. This largely consists of the rurally isolated, whether older people unable to travel to make hospital appointments or school children isolated from normal bus services. The service is used by 2,500-3,000 people a month and consists of a fleet of eight mini-buses, seven of which are wheelchair accessible.

🚗 Travel Update for Today 🚗
We’ve been made aware of a couple of accidents on the M11 and M25, which may cause delays to our drivers today.
Please be assured they are on their way, but traffic is heavier than usual. 🚦
We appreciate your patience and kindness when they arrive — any delays are unfortunately outside of their control. 💙
Thank you for your understanding.

How many of these sound like you? 💭

You might not call yourself a carer, meanwhile you...

• Help them get to appointments or pick up prescriptions
• Check in every day, just to make sure they're okay
• Sit and listen when things feel overwhelming for them
• Remind them about medication, bills, or important dates
• Change your working patterns and your plans - because they need you.

A lot of people never realise they’re carers, because caring often shows up in quiet, everyday ways.

If even one of these rang true for you, you're not alone - and you deserve support too.

DON'T MISS OUT 📢 Join us THIS THURDAY at our Carers Connection Day, where you can unlock:

• Expert advice on resources, services, financial benefits and entitlements to help you in your role
• Practical information on equipment, environment adaptations and digital support
• The chance to connect with representatives from local organisations dedicated to supporting unpaid carers
