It's a busy day at Copped Hall this coming Sunday, 21 June (and it's Fathers' Day!)

▪ It's our monthly Guided Tour Day: Mansion and Gardens with entry between 10-11am. You'll see most of the mansion, including the cellars and stables, and the grounds and gardens, including the beautiful Walled Garden. There's time for teas, coffee and homemade cakes between the two halves of your tour. There'll be plants and produce for sale in the Walled Garden (please bring your own bags - thank you!) You'll be able to browse our extensive second hand bookshop, and the Copped Hall Shop will be open for gifts and souvenirs.
Tickets in advance: £12.50
Tickets on the day: £15

▪ There's 𝘰𝘯𝘦 ticket left for our 11.30am Upper Floors Tours; the 10.10am tour is fully booked. Upper Floors Tours are intended for those who have already been on one of our general Guided Tours. You'll see the second and third (attic) floors of the mansion and hear about how these upper floors were originally laid out and for whom.
Ticket, only in advance: £12.50

▪ Last, but by no means least, it's our annual The Last Year at Copped Hall: Illustrated lecture at 3pm! Alan Cox's talk and slide show will take you through what's been achieved in the last twelve months and will touch on the next steps for the restoration too. Not to be missed!
Tickets in advance: £12
Tickets on the day: £15

Full details and a link for tickets for each of these in their Facebook Events posts: Guided Tour Day: Mansion and Gardens, Upper Floors Tours and The Last Year at Copped Hall: Illustrated lecture or visit the Ticketsource website and search for Copped Hall events.

Did you know, a bee will make approximately one twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in its six-week lifespan? So twelve bees equals one teaspoonful - liquid gold! 🐝

Come and find out more about honey at our Study Day: Honey, but is it real? on Sunday 26 July from 10am-4pm.
Tickets: £40

🐝 You'll extract honey from the Copped Hall hives, and hear the longer story and dubious history of cheap honey. You'll taste a range of good and 'bad' honey, and take part in authenticity testing which aims to expose the fake and the fraud.
🐝 The day will be led by Katy Langley and Eric Beaumont who are bee farmers, scientists, producers and retailers of local honey.

▪ This event is suitable for those aged 18 and over.
▪ Tea, coffee and homemade cake will be provided during the day.
▪ Please bring your own lunch.

Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream
performed by a company of students from East 15 Acting School
Saturday 13 June at 3pm
Tickets: £15

A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's most popular and best-loved comedies, full of elements from folklore, literature, nature, mythology and the supernatural.

If you're not familiar with Shakespeare, this is one of the best introductions to his plays!

It is believed that A Midsummer Night's Dream was first performed at Sir Thomas Heneage's Tudor Copped Hall, so it could be said that East 15 Acting School is bringing it home to Copped Hall this year!
