Our monthly Guided Tour Day: Mansion and Gardens is this Sunday!

Sunday 18 October
Entry between 10-11am
Tours last between 2½-3 hours, with a break half way through
Tickets in advance: £12.50 (until 10pm on Saturday evening)
Tickets on the day at the gate: £15
Children and young people aged 18 and under, carers, and members of The Friends of The Copped Hall Trust: Free!

Come and find out about the past, present and future of Copped Hall, its gardens and grounds! Guided tours leave regularly between 10-11am and you'll see the ground and first floors of the mansion, the cellars, the stables and the recently completed stone staircase! Teas, coffee and homemade cakes will be on sale in the Racquets Court before the second half of your tour - the grounds, including the site of the Tudor Copped Hall, and the gardens, including the Walled Garden.

▪ Seasonal produce and plants will be on sale in the Walled Garden. Please bring your own bags if you think you may be tempted - thank you!
▪ Our extensive second hand book shop will be open, as will the Copped Hall Shop for books about Copped Hall, gifts and souvenirs.
▪ During your tour, you'll have time to look at the exhibitions and displays in the house.

We'd like to say a big 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to everyone who came to our Family Apple Day on Sunday! We very much hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you too to all the stallholders and organisations, refreshments concessions, entertainers and classic car owners for your contributions to the day!

And, last but by no means least, thank you to all our volunteers who ensured that everything ran smoothly, from the planning stages to parking, from room stewarding to refreshments, from all the setting up to all the putting away - thank you! We couldn't do it without you!

The eighth incarnation of Dark Tales & Strange Sounds!

Join us for another chilling evening of ghost stories, strange tales and eerie sounds:
▪ Sinister Masterplan - captivating storytelling with Theremin
▪ Minnie Wilkinson - a dark Gothic tale from the 18th century

This coming weekend is our Family Apple Day!

Come and celebrate everything apple at our Family Apple Day!
🍎 Bring along your garden apples for identification, marvel at the range of apples available, buy some apples you've perhaps not tried before, and help out with the juicing!
🍏 Explore the gardens and grounds and parts of the mansion, including the cellars and stables. There are no guided tours, but Room Stewards will happily answer any questions you may have and there'll be a 10 minute introductory video running all day in the hallway.
🍎 Our extensive second hand book shop will be open, plants and seasonal produce will be on sale in the Walled Garden (please bring your own bags - thank you!) and the Copped Hall Shop will also be open for books about Copped Hall, gifts and souvenirs.
🍏 Entertainment including Chingford Morris Men, Harlow Brass Band, children's entertainers, our straw castle for children of all ages, a small display of classic cars and you may see the Georgians during the day, from Royal Living History.
🍎 There'll be a wide variety of craft and charity stalls, both local, national and animal welfare, exhibitions and displays, and homemade and homegrown produce for sale.
🍏 Choose from a wide range of refreshments: tea, coffee, Copped Hall homemade cakes and plated lunches; the Copped Hall licensed bar will be open, also serving low- and no-alcohol beers; Shaw's Butchers of Chingford's barbecue will be sizzling; icecream van; mobile coffee van.

There's something for everyone - we look forward to welcoming you!
