We’re very sad to share that North Halifax Partnership’s time managing Mixenden Activity Centre - MAC will come to an end in the coming weeks.

NHP put forward a thorough business case for MAC through the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) process. We have now been informed a political decision has been made not to proceed with the proposed transfer to NHP.

We’re disappointed by this decision, but immensely proud of what has been achieved.

MAC has never just been about the activities. It has been about the people who walk through the door - the friendships made, familiar faces, shared meals, conversations, laughter and having somewhere to belong.

It has provided local groups with a space to meet, build partnerships and develop new opportunities, while giving young people positive things to do and get involved in.

We’ll work closely with regular users over the coming weeks to help ensure no one is left without the connections and activities they rely on.

🪼Week Two of Baby Sensory🐠

This week's sensory activities, with the Under the Sea theme, helped strengthen upper body muscles by reaching for the bubbles, promote communication skills through multi sensory exploration and supported visual development through tracking objects.🫧

Baby Sensory is 4 weeks of informal play sessions that stimulates an infants senses and support brain development from birth through their first year.
