Youth Options' fundamental commitment is to improve the life opportunities of children and young people through high quality, vibrant and dynamic programmes, which motivate, support and enable them to choose a happy, healthy and positive future. Since its inception in 1937 Youth Options has demonstrated significant success in supporting, developing and engaging children and young people. We believe passionately that every young person has the potential to realise their abilities and aspirations and to make a valuable contribution to their communities. We recognise that young people need varying degrees of support to reach their full potential, and it is in this regard that Youth Options can demonstrate success.

Every young person deserves to feel heard, understood and part of their community 💙

During a Your Space session at MP3 VIBE, young people worked with Artworks to create colourful maps of themselves, their homes and the communities around them. 🎨

Each map offered a chance to explore what makes them who they are, the places they call home and the world they see around them.

Having the space to express yourself, share your ideas and feel listened to matters. It's part of helping young people build their confidence, understand themselves and find their place in the world.

A big thank you to Artworks for helping make this creative opportunity possible!

Sometimes, the right support can help a young person see what's possible 🩷

Natalia was facing a lot at a young age, while caring for her younger sibling and trying to build a more secure future for them both.

Through our Better Futures: Employability project, she gained qualifications and completed four weeks of paid work experience at Brew & You - Community cafe in Millbrook.

With new skills, growing confidence and encouragement from her mentor, Natalia went on to secure a job at a local college café. More than six months later, she's still there!

Natalia's determination has been at the heart of her journey. We're proud to have supported her along the way and to see her continuing to build the future she wants.

Just weeks ago, this young person couldn’t speak to us.

Anxious and overwhelmed, he kept his distance - especially from our team. But last week, something changed.

Sitting by the campfire with our Outdoor Learning Leader, he cooked his favourite sausages. He looked at and spoke to her for the first time, whilst toasting a marshmallow!

It may sound like a small moment, but it was a big breakthrough. Because when young people are given safe spaces, time, and trust, progress happens.

And sometimes, it starts with a sausage sandwich 💙

A little discovery, a big adventure!

During a recent residential trip, our young people came across this fossil while exploring.

It's moments like these that make trips so special for those we support. Getting out somewhere different, discovering new things and sharing experiences together can create memories that stay with young people long after they've returned home.

Sometimes, you set off on an adventure without knowing quite what you'll find along the way!

We love seeing what young people come up with during their 1-1 sessions, and this spooky pottery creation is no exception!

By giving young people dedicated time with a trusted member of our team and creating a safe space, they get to explore their interests, try new things and express themselves in their own way.

Sometimes, it's the simple things that make a session special. And we're pretty sure this one gets us in the Halloween spirit!

Friday nights, football and time spent together ⚽

Our Friday night football sessions in Hamble and Wi******er give young people a chance to get together, get active and enjoy being part of something.

It's about more than what's happening on the pitch. It's about having somewhere to go, people to spend time with and the chance to feel part of your local community.

Just look at this little woodland creation! 🐌🌿

Made from an old tree by a young person taking part in our 1:1 Engage & Achieve: Outdoor Learning sessions.

For some young people, having the time, space and support to try something new can make a real difference. It's about more than the activity itself. It's about being able to explore, get creative, discover what you enjoy and feel proud of what you've achieved.

Every young person deserves opportunities to find their own strengths, in an environment where they feel supported to give things a go.

One of the best things about being part of a community is seeing people come together in different ways 💜

Recently, we've had teams from Matchtech and Plata Loans taking on a race for Youth Options, while The Angel Inn, Andover hosted a music fundraiser.

Whether it's lacing up your running shoes or getting together for an evening of music, it's wonderful to see people in our community getting behind the work we do with young people across Hampshire.

A big thank you to everyone involved. We're so glad to have you as part of the Youth Options community!
