📢 Today, we launch a new national helpline for victims and survivors affected by — or concerned they may be affected by — changes to prisoner release dates.

Delivered by our expert team, the helpline will provide a clear route to specialist information, reassurance and support.

We know uncertainty around an offender's release can cause huge fear and distress. Every victim and survivor deserves to be listened to, informed, respected and supported.

Our expert team can:
✅ discuss wellbeing, safety and next steps
✅ explain how release and licence conditions work
✅ connect callers with appropriate ongoing or specialist support.

We can't provide an individual offender's release date or case-specific licence conditions - but we can explain how someone may be able to find this information and where to go next.

Reporting spiking as soon as possible is important, as some drugs can leave the body in less than 12 hours, making gathering evidence difficult.
