The Social Investment Gateway Programme provides 12 months of free support for not-for-profit organisations considering social investment within the next three years.
The programme helps organisations strengthen their trading income, business model, finances, systems and leadership.
It includes tailored learning, diagnostic support, peer coaching, investment surgeries and opportunities to meet social investors.
Alongside the learning and support, the programme offers two types of grants:
π Match Trading Grant of up to Β£18,000 β paid over 12 months in five instalments as the organisationβs trading income increases.
π Repayable grant of up to Β£24,000 β the School for Social Entrepreneurs is piloting 10 of these grants across the programmeβs two rounds. The average award is around Β£22,000.
The next programme runs from π 1st March 2027 to 1st February 2028, with face-to-face sessions offered in London and Manchester at the start, middle and end of the programme.
The programme is open to England-based charities, social enterprises and community organisations with an active trading model and plans to grow. Applicants should usually have an annual income above Β£100,000, although organisations below this level can contact the School for Social Entrepreneurs if they have a strong trading model.
