Community Wise

Community Wise Community Wise, a thriving community centre, run for the benefit of all our local community The Church is a separate charitable trust with very similar aims.

The aims of Community Wise are to:

Serve the community, especially women and young people;
Encourage the family;
Value individuals, identifying and responding to their needs; and
Promote community spirit

It does this by:

Providing community facilities at low cost
actively encouraging the development of community groups
enabling the formation of new groups as and when needs have been identified

and opportunities arise
envisioning and supporting staff and volunteers
working in partnership with other agencies

A growing partnership with Living Stones Community Church has developed. The Church uses the building for its Sunday morning meeting and for other meetings and events from time to time. The Church takes responsibility for a ten week 'Alpha Course' which takes participants through the basic elements of the Christian faith and gives opportunity for thought and discussion. Sunday morning meetings are held at 10.30 am and visitors, including children and young people of all ages, are very welcome. The Trustees of Community Wise are appointed by Living Stones Church and many volunteers contribute to the management, maintenance and programmes of the Centre.
