While our Saturday Community Fridge sessions are open to everyone, we also work quietly every week to help households facing more significant challenges. Donations like this help make that possible. If you need our

🥬 Toddington Community Fridge Update - May 2026🥖

Toddington Community Fridge continues to run every Saturday morning from 9am to 11am at Wilkinson Hall, helping to redistribute surplus food within our local community.

We’re not a food bank. Our aim is to stop good food from going to waste while helping local people access affordable food at a time when the cost of living continues to be very challenging for many households. If you’re struggling and live locally, please do come and speak to the team. We’re here to help where we can.

Like many surplus food projects, supply can vary significantly week to week. Sometimes there is simply less surplus food available in the system, and at the moment wider transport disruption linked to the conflict in the Middle East is also having an impact on supply chains. The nature of surplus redistribution means we never know exactly what food we’ll receive in advance.

Despite this, our volunteers have worked incredibly hard to maintain a good selection of food each week, and we’re really grateful for the continued support from everyone involved.

Regular visitors will also know that we’ve recently been experimenting with chilled items. We now have two portable fridges, helping us safely transport and offer a wider range of fresh food during sessions.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the service, whether by volunteering, donating, or simply helping us reduce food waste in the community. 💚

Huge thanks to Toddington Parish Council for supporting Toddington Community Fridge for a second year running 🙌

We’re really grateful for the £240 grant helping cover transport costs 🚐 We distribute around 200 kg of food each week, with a lot happening behind the scenes to make that possible.

Your donations are still absolutely vital 💛 They help cover essentials like insurance and equipment, and most importantly support 15+ local families who are struggling.
