Co Tyrone Junior Orange Tag Rugby Competition

A fantastic night at Omagh Rugby Club for our first-ever Co Tyrone Junior Orange Tag Rugby Competition.
It was great to see teams from across the county represented, enjoying an evening of fun, teamwork and friendly competition.

A sincere thank you to Sixmilecross JLOL for organising the BBQ, and to all the ladies who helped with the cooking and refreshments throughout the evening.

Special thanks to Bro. Jamie Brown for all his hard work in organising the event, and to Omagh Rugby Club for the use of their excellent facilities.

The competition was a great success, and we look forward to building on it and making next year's event even bigger and better.

Football Competition Postponed
Following the sad passing of Mrs Lindsay Bell, and out of respect for her family, the County Tyrone Junior Orange football competition due to take place at Roughan on Friday evening has been postponed.
Lindsay was a great supporter of the Junior Orange over the years, and our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Kingsley, her children Jamie, Katie, Millie and Harry, and the wider Bell family at this difficult time. We also extend our sincere sympathies to her father-in-law, Bro. Paul Bell, Worshipful District Master of Annahoe District L.O.L. No. 6.
A new date for the competition will be announced in due course.
Thank you for your understanding

Sunday 10th May was a great day in Omagh as Junior Lodge members from across Co. Tyrone & Fermanagh were joined by members of the JOWAI & WLOL and visiting Lodges for the annual Junior Orange Parade.

The parade moved off from Omagh Orange Hall and, with such a strong turnout on the day, the Brethren were able to walk three deep and stretched the full length of Omagh Main Street โ€” a tremendous sight to see and very encouraging for the future of Junior Orangeism across the County.

Led by Edenderry Pipe Band and Blair Memorial Flute Band, the parade made its way to St. Columbaโ€™s Parish Church where the service was conducted by Rev. Graham Hare and Rev. Alexander Chisnall.

Junior members took part throughout the service with Scripture readings and the retiring collection in aid of the McCrea Memorial Trust. During the service, the new Bannerette from Blossomhill JLOL No. 250 was also presented for dedication.

Following the service, the parade returned to Omagh Orange Hall in glorious sunshine, bringing to an end a very successful day.

Thanks are extended to everyone who helped organise the event, the bands, all who attended, and the large crowds who came out to support the parade along the route.

Great to be involved with this project and amazing to see so many of the juniors in Co Tyrone organising different events to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Several of our Junior members in Co Tyrone and their families have been supported by Tinylife and it is great to be able to give back

The Junior Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland was proud to present a cheque for ยฃ18,250 to TinyLife on Monday 30th March 2026 in Wallace Park, Lisburnโ€”site of our 2025 centenary parade.

The cheque was presented by representatives from each of our five Junior Counties and received by TinyLife Patron David Healy MBE, alongside Grand Master Most Wor Bro Joseph Magill, Deputy Grand Master Rt Wor Bro Colin Crawford, Grand Treasurer Rt Wor Bro Allister Erskine, and Deputy Grand Treasurer Wor Bro Gordon Fisher.

This fantastic sum was raised through the dedication of our members across our jurisdiction, with fundraising efforts including sponsored walks, tractor runs, quiz nights, church services, and centenary initiatives.

Speaking at the presentation, the Grand Master said: โ€œI am immensely proud of how our members from lodges across the country have united behind our chosen charity. Their efforts have raised a truly outstanding sum, which we know will make a meaningful difference to families across Northern Ireland.โ€

TinyLife CEO Joanne Morgan added: โ€œThis is the largest donation we have received this year, and it will make a meaningful and lasting difference to the children and families we support every day.โ€

This donation will support the vital work of TinyLife in helping families with premature and vulnerable babies across Northern Ireland.

A proud night for County Tyrone Junior Orange

It was a fantastic evening for County Tyrone at the Orange Community Awards 2026, with two of our Junior Lodges receiving well-deserved recognition for their hard work and dedication over the past year.

Congratulations to Blossomhill JLOL 250 from Fintona District, who received the Junior Lodge Membership Increase Award after achieving an outstanding 130% increase in membership over the past year. This remarkable growth highlights the great work being done to encourage young people to become involved in the Junior Orange and to keep the organisation thriving for the future.

Well done also to Annahoe District JLOL 286, who were awarded the Junior Grand Lodge Award. Annahoe continues to be one of the most active Junior Lodges in the country, regularly attending competitions, organising events, supporting charity initiatives, and maintaining an impressive membership of almost 60 members. This award is a testament to the commitment of the members, leaders, and supporters who make the lodge such a success.

Both lodges have done County Tyrone Junior Orange proud, and their achievements show the strength and enthusiasm within our Junior ranks.

Congratulations again to everyone involved in Blossomhill JLOL 250 and Annahoe District JLOL 286 โ€” your hard work and dedication are an inspiration to Junior Lodges across the county.
