NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation

NHS Tayside's charity enabling healthier lives for everyone in Tayside by informing, funding and supporting our partners. Thanks for your interest.

Raise funds for a ward, service or department within NHS Tayside by registering your event with Tayside Health Fund: www.taysidehealthfund.scot.nhs.uk. Our Team can provide support and advice: steps involved, who to contact, how to donate your funds raised. We will give you what you need to collect your funds: collection cans/donation boxes/buckets/online giving pages/sponsor sheets. We can loan promotional materials for your event: pop up banners/posters/raffle tickets and arrange publicity (if requested). We’re here to answer any questions you may have. Ninewells Gift Shop is run by volunteers on behalf of Tayside Health Fund. We stock a variety of gifts for all occasions which we'll advertise regularly on our page. We also have a book stall outside the Gift Shop and gratefully appreciate any pre-loved/used books donated to the Gift Shop. The funds generated by the Gift Shop, book stall, by donations and legacies from patients and relatives, the general public and other organisations make a big difference to patients and their families across Tayside and that is why we are grateful for every single penny which we receive.

This , we’re celebrating three fantastic supporters who went the extra mile- 20 of them, in fact!💙

Our Trustees David Cheape and Sam Riddel took on the 20-mile Dundee Kiltwalk and raised an incredible £1,417 for NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation.

A special mention also goes to Dr Andrew Thomson, who completed the walk alongside them and raised a further £750.

Thank you, David, Sam and Andrew, for your commitment and generosity, and to everyone who sponsored them. Your support helps us fund projects that improve health and wellbeing for patients, families and staff across Tayside.💙

👁️ Help Shape an Exciting New Space at Perth Royal Infirmary! 💙

There’s an exciting workshop underway right now in the Ophthalmology Department at Perth Royal Infirmary and we’d love to hear your ideas!

Thanks to a generous donation from the Lo family, we’re exploring designs for a new space within the department and we want to make sure the people who use it have a say in how it looks and feels.

🎨 Our designers are on site until 4pm today, ready to listen to your thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

Whether you’re a patient, visitor or member of staff, we’d love you to pop along, share your views and help shape a welcoming, comfortable space for the future.

Our keep cups will be available in Crema sites at Stracathro Hospital, Whitehills Community Care Centre, Perth Royal Infirmary, Murray Royal Hospital and Kings Cross Hospital from Monday the 26th of October!

We were delighted to welcome Pam Roberts of HHT Scotland to share why raising awareness of Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) means so much to her.

HHT is a rare inherited condition that affects the blood vessels and can cause serious bleeding. Many people live with it undiagnosed, which is why awareness and access to the right information are so important.

NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation is proud to be supporting awareness and care for HHT. Working together, we can help patients and families across Tayside get the support they need.

At the recent launch of our HHT awareness campaign with HHT Scotland, our Chair, Sam, spoke about why raising awareness of Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) matters so much here in Tayside. ❤️

HHT is a rare inherited condition that affects the blood vessels. It can cause frequent nosebleeds and other serious complications, and many people live with it for years without a diagnosis. The sooner it’s recognised, the sooner people can get the right care.
