Raise funds for a ward, service or department within NHS Tayside by registering your event with Tayside Health Fund: www.taysidehealthfund.scot.nhs.uk. Our Team can provide support and advice: steps involved, who to contact, how to donate your funds raised. We will give you what you need to collect your funds: collection cans/donation boxes/buckets/online giving pages/sponsor sheets. We can loan p

romotional materials for your event: pop up banners/posters/raffle tickets and arrange publicity (if requested). We’re here to answer any questions you may have. Ninewells Gift Shop is run by volunteers on behalf of Tayside Health Fund. We stock a variety of gifts for all occasions which we'll advertise regularly on our page. We also have a book stall outside the Gift Shop and gratefully appreciate any pre-loved/used books donated to the Gift Shop. The funds generated by the Gift Shop, book stall, by donations and legacies from patients and relatives, the general public and other organisations make a big difference to patients and their families across Tayside and that is why we are grateful for every single penny which we receive.

Today is all about celebrating the incredible power of giving back! 🌟

From primary school pupils staging musicals to half-marathon runners, corporate teams scaling ship masts, and families turning milestones into moments of hope—our local community never ceases to amaze us.

For today’s , we'd like to say a huge thank you to Donna Lamond from Brechin, who recently organised a bingo and raffle fundraiser in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ninewells Hospital. 💜

Thanks to Donna's hard work and the generosity of everyone who attended, an amazing £2,769.50 was raised for the unit. ✨

We are incredibly grateful for this support. The donation will make a real difference to the babies and families cared for in the NICU, helping us provide extra support where it's needed most. 🤍

Thank you, Donna, and everyone who helped make the event such a success. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated by the NICU team and the families they care for!

“Parkinson’s is not the end!” 💜

We are so proud to share an update on the incredible Dance for Parkinson’s programme at Perth Theatre and Concert Hall, funded by the NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation! 🎭

This vital initiative provides a free weekly movement class combining creative dance, live music, and social time for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and carers.

Over the past year:

✨ 34 weekly sessions were delivered completely free of charge.
👥 11 regular participants built confidence, mobility, and lifelong friendships alongside family members and carers.
🎥 Participants helped create an inspiring new dance film that premiered earlier this summer!
📰 The project gained national recognition in The Scotsman and The Courier, helping raise awareness across Scotland!

More than just physical benefits, the group provides an essential space for connection. As one participant shared:

"We don’t all talk about having Parkinson’s, but it’s nice to know everybody is in the same boat – I understand how they feel, and they understand how I feel."

Keeping this service free removes financial barriers so participants can focus on movement, joy, and mutual support. A massive thank you to the team at Perth Theatre and Concert Hall for delivering such a life-changing service for our local community! 👏

Our top Kiltwalk fundraisers! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥾

A massive congratulations to Kane, Kerr, and Ian from the Ninewells Hospital Plumbing Department, who took on the gruelling Mighty Stride at the Dundee Kiltwalk in honour of their colleague's son-in-law and officially finished as our #1 top fundraising team! 🥇✨

The trio smashed their goals and raised an incredible sum to support the NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation, directly benefiting local patients, families, and healthcare colleagues right here in Tayside. 🏥💙

Taking on those miles is no easy task, but Kane, Kerr, and Ian showed absolute determination, community spirit, and top-tier teamwork from start to finish. 🛠️💪
