Anne was delighted to be a guest at the Alzheimer’s Group in Lockerbie on Tuesday 18th of August.

It was a great opportunity to connect with local people, share information about Self-Directed Support (SDS), and highlight the choice and control it can offer individuals. Our SDS Link Practitioners continues to build valuable relationships with local groups and services, helping people access the right information and understand the support available to them.

From the 1st April 2025 it has mandatory for all PAs to have a PVG ( Protection of Vulnerable Groups) check. The government has introduced a wavier where PAs will no longer have to pay for their PVG when starting a new job. This will run from 1st August 2026 until 31st July 2027. This will apply to all PAs who are employed by someone receiving a funding through Self-directed Support Option 1 or the Independent Living Fund Scotland.
