Harvested more of the Riverside Giant Pumpkins today and delivered two to Tropiquaria Zoo near Watchett for the animals feed.

Last River Fly Survey for this year. This test helps tell us the health of the river. Our location is above the outflow from the South West Water treatment plant.
So the detergant foam i filmed at the start of this week is still their. Domestic tank dischage never gets taken into account when people comment on pollution of our rivers but it has an effect that people choose to ignore.

The sheep are pretty much back to being themselves again. Noisy argbargy over feed normal fleecy foir legged antics. So a big relief and less stress for us.

Fingers crossed the sheep are going along munching. Much needed rainfall has come along. Harvesting Chillies this morning. Our experiement to see what grows well here and what does not continues. Giant Pumpkins have invaded on the main vedge area.

Just a quick update. So we had a Blue Tounge test taken a few weeks back now. So we got overtaken with caring for our small flock of thirteen. We have lost two lovely ewes to it.

Today we have just had confirmation it was Blue Tounge. So if you listen the recorded cases being reported on the news and DEFRA they are just false!! as the true numbers are far greater than their reports show.

The impact on all who are dealing with it is enormous both mentally and financially.

One dead stock carrier told me five artic loads a week were heading to the incinerator in the West Midlands as the one in Cornwall was to small to cope.

It will impact Ewes and Rams breeding cycles for a time not yet reported.

So lets cut the rubbish spin, the outbreak is catastrophic for all those dealing with it.

Westminster should be ashamed of themselves.

Good morning everyone. I did not feel like making a film this morning. So this was taken yesterday before we lost Chloe. This is her Mum. We still have three sheep in our intensive care paddock.
We let Peggy, Tammy and Bump out into the field as they are looking much better.
Will try another update later.
